In addition to traditional face-to-face lectures, the Hull College offers some courses in alternative styles.  This page describes the variety of styles so students can know what to expect and instructions on how to best get started in these courses and stay on track.

Glossary of Schedule Types
Schedule Type Description
EXEC Course delivered in EXECutive MBA style.  Attendance is mandatory.  Light meals served evenings, mornings and lunches.  Registration surcharge may apply.
OLDL Course delivered in OnLine Distance Learning style with no scheduled class meeting times.  Course content is delivered through online modules and most assessments are done through the internet.  Final online exam (perhaps others) are taken in person in an ASU computer lab.
SSOL Course is primarily Self Study with OnLine administration of assignments and exams.  Course content comes primarily from students' self study of the purchased textbook.  There are no scheduled class times but support from the instructor is available via email or visiting her/his office.  Final online exam (perhaps others) are taken in person in an ASU computer lab.  Usually there are one or more sections of this course scheduled in a traditional manner for students who may not be ready for self study.
HYDL Course is one-half traditional, face to face lectures which occur at the schedule time and location, usually one day per week.  The remainder of the course is OLDL with no scheduled meeting time but the instructor is available via email or in office for support.
